BRIEF NOTE ON WHY MIRIAM CAREY WAS SHOT DEAD

The White House and the Capitol were locked down on friday as a car chase ended with the dead of the pursued driver—Miram Carey, from Stamford, Connecticut—shot down by Secret Service agents. Her 1-year-old daughter was in the car. Here's the complete timeline.
The woman was believed to be Miriam Carey, 34, a dental hygienist from Stamford, Conn., authorities told the woman's family, according to a family spokesman.
